Home Industry Transport Eid Al Adha: Free parking in Dubai, public transport timings revealed The RTA has urged the public to plan their journeys ahead of time and arrive early in stations to avoid crowding and delays by Aarti Nagraj July 15, 2021 Public parking in Dubai will be free of charge for four days – from Monday, July 19 until Thursday, July 22 (9 to 12 Dhul Hijjah) for Eid Al Adha, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed. However parking will remain paid during the holidays at multi-level parking terminals. Revealing the revised public transport timings during the Eid Al Adha holidays in Dubai, the RTA urged the public to comply with Covid-19 precautionary measures, plan their journeys ahead of time and arrive early in stations to avoid crowding and delays. The public are also advised to use digital payments and digital assets such as TVM and digital kiosks (IMK & ITIK). RTA service provider centres and customer happiness centres will be closed during the holidays and will resume work from Saturday, July 24. Smart customer happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara and RTA head office will continue service 24/7 as usual. Dubai Metro and Tram timings From Monday to Thursday, the red and green lines will operate from 5am until 1am (of the following day). On Friday, July 23, the service will run from 10am to 1am (of the following day), and on Saturday, July 24, from 5am to 12am midnight. The timing of the Dubai Tram service will be as follows: From Monday to Thursday from 6am to 1am (of the following day), on Friday, from 9am to 1am (of the following day), and on Saturday from 6am to 12am midnight. Public buses Public buses will operate during the Eid holiday as follows: Main stations, including Gold Souq from 4.30am to 12.30am (past midnight), and Al-Ghubaiba from 4.15am to 1am (of the following day). Sub-stations, including Satwa, will operate from 4.30am to 11pm (except for Route C01 which will operate around the clock), Al-Qusais station from 4.30am to 12.04am (past midnight), Al Quoz Industrial station from 5.05am to 11.30pm, and Jebel Ali station from 4.58am to 12.15am (past midnight). The Metro Link bus service at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be in service from 5am to 1.10am (of the following day). The timing of all Metro Link services is synchronised with the metro timetables. Inter-city buses and commercial coaches will operate as follows: Sub stations, such as Al Ghubaiba from 6.40am to 10.20pm, Union Square from 4.25am to 12.15am (past midnight), Etisalat Metro station from 6am to 9pm, Abu Hail Metro station from 6.20am to 10.40pm, and Hatta station from 5.30am to 9.30pm. The timing of external stations will be as follows: Al Jubail station at Sharjah from 5.30am to 11.15pm, and Ajman station from 4.30am to 11pm. Marine transport The Water Bus will operate at Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) from 12pm (noon) up to 12am (midnight). The tourist services will run from 4pm until 11pm. The Water Taxi will be operate on demand and the service will be available from 12pm (noon) up to 8pm. Customers need to make a pre-booking. Traditional abras will be operate during the holiday at Dubai Creek stations as follows: Dubai Old Souq – Baniyas from 10am to 1am (of the following day), Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha from 10am to 12.30am (past midnight), Al Fahidi- Old Deira Souq from 10am to 12.30am (past midnight), Baniyas – Al Seef from 10am to 1am (of the following day), Dubai Old Souq – Al Fahidi – Al Seef from 4pm to 11pm, and Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City from 8am to 12am (midnight). Traditional Abras will run tourist journeys at Sheikh Zayed Road Station and Dubai Creek from 4pm to 11pm. Another tourist service will be running at Al Jaddaf/Dubai Festival City during the same time. Dubai Ferry will operate at Al Ghubaiba-Dubai Water Canal-Dubai Marina Mall at 11am, 1pm and 6.30pm (The 11am journey will not stop at the Dubai Water Canal). The Ferry tourist service will run from Marina Mall station at 3pm and 5pm, and from Al Ghubaiba station at 5pm.
