The UAE’s International Astronomical Centre said that a picture of the crescent moon of the month of Zul Hijjah 1441 AH was spotted on Tuesday, July 21, at 11:30am from the top of Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain.
This would mean that Eid Al Adha would likely fall on July 31, the 10th day of the month.
No official announcement to that effect has yet been made by UAE authorities.
If confirmed, it would mean that the Eid Al Adha date for the UAE and Saudi Arabia would coincide.
Saudi Arabia has already declared that Eid Al Adha in the kingdom will be observed on Friday, July 31.
