Thursday, August 8, has been declared as the first day of the month of Shawwal, and will be celebrated as the first day of Eid Al Fitr. The decision was announced following a meeting held by the committee, which is chaired by Dr. Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, the Minister of Justice, after Maghreb prayer on Wednesday. Private sector employees will now get a break for Eid Al Fitr on Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9, according to the UAE’s labour ministry. Government offices in the country are closed from Wednesday, August 7, for the Eid Al Fitr break and will now reopen on Sunday, August 11, as per the Federal Authority of Human Resources. 0 Comments
