Home UAE Dubai Emaar opens first cafe in Dubai Mall The Dubai developer’s new Emaar Cafe will also boast a variety of smart services beyond food and beverage offerings by Ben Mack September 24, 2019 In a move that sees it add flat whites to its selection of flats for purchase, Dubai’s Emaar Properties has expanded into cafes. The company has opened its first Emaar Café. Located in the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue area, the idea is to provide an Arab coffee house experience for guests from all over the world. However, the café is also far more than a place to sip hot drinks and network: Emaar says café customers will be able to access information and smart services thanks to agreements with government entities. Among the services café customers will be able to access includes information about home and land ownership and registration from the Dubai Land Department, business information and services from Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), business registration and licencing from the Department of Economic Development (DED), information about things to see and do in Dubai from the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and more. If that’s not enough, visitors to the café will also be able to learn more about Dubai thanks to an augmented reality (AR) experience. The café will also reportedly host art exhibitions, showcasing both local and international artists. The opening of the Emaar Café follows a number of other initiatives by Emaar. For example, the company has launched a new short-term rental concept for holiday homes. Called Ease by Emaar, the platform will enable owners in certain Emaar communities to rent out their units as holiday homes to guests.
