Emirates is starting daily non-stop services between Dubai and Clark International Airport, its second destination in the Philippines, from October 1.

Clark International Airport is located in the province of Pampanga in Central Luzon, 80kms to the north of Manila, and has a catchment area of 17 million people.

Operated by a two-class Boeing 777-300ER, EK338 will depart Dubai at 0400 and arrive at Clark International Airport at 1640. The return flight, EK339 will depart at 1835 and arrive at Dubai International Airport at 2305.

The move provides Emirates with an avenue for growth beyond Manila, which it serves with triple daily flights, and has served for 23 years.

It also provides executives flying to and from the country, as well as the Filipino disapora – which stands at 10 million globally, 680,000 of which live in the UAE – with more flexibility flying home.

Central Luzon is one of the leading growth regions in the Philippines and is host to the country’s premier economic zones – the Clark Freeport Zone and the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Attractions also include the lake crater of Mount Pinatubo (pictured).

Emirates SkyCargo will be able to provide more than 160 tonnes of additional cargo hold capacity each way per week, supporting Philippine exports of perishables, such as dairy products, fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood and electrical and electronic equipment, and its imports of textiles, apparel, plants, flowers and chemical products.
