Emirates check-in counters at Port Rashid will allow cruise passengers to disembark and check-in for their onward Emirates connections at the same location. Boarding passes will be issued up to four hours before flight departure. The facility will be functional during the sailing period from October to April. During the next six months, 198 cruise ships are expected to dock at Port Rashid where close to 280,000 passengers will have onward Emirates flight connections, a statement said. Additionally, for passengers keen to explore the city, Emirates offers a luggage storage facility where tourists can leave their bags. Emirates also offers a home delivery service where it retrieves passengers’ luggage, clears it at customs and has it delivered to them.
