Emirates Launches Luxury Private Jet Service

Emirates has announced the launch of its luxury private jet service in a bid to tap into the growing aviation sub-sector.

Using Airbus 319 aircrafts, the Dubai carrier will offer customers a chance to request a private jet experience though its Emirates Executive scheme. The service will charter flights to most locations worldwide and beyond the airline’s existing network.

“We have seen an increasing demand in the private travel segment, especially in the Middle East and Europe as well as in markets such as India, Russia and China,” said Adnan Kazim, divisional senior vice president, Emirates.

“With Emirates Executive and the launch of its website, we are looking to tap into this niche market with the high-quality of service and attention to detail associated with Emirates.”

Customers will be able to inspect the features of the aircraft and the type of services available through a video on the airlines’ website. Each flight can accommodate up to 19 passengers.

The launch comes at a time when the regional demand for business aviation is on the rise. Earlier this year, Abu Dhabi’s international luxury executive flight service provider Royal Jet posted a six per cent increase in revenues for its Boeing Jets and 27 per cent for Gulfstreams in terms of aircraft usage and block hours in 2012, outperforming the forecasts for that year.

Previously Royal Jet had announced a 17 per cent increase in the first quarter revenues of 2012 in a statement issued by the company on its website.

The government owned Emirates airlines had earlier posted a profit of Dhs2.3 billion ($622 million) for the financial year 2012-13, an increase of 52 per cent over last year’s results.

The Gulf carrier, which is one of the fastest growing airlines, is continually on the path of expansion and has added more destinations and increased its fleet size for commercial travel.

It is currently the world’s largest operator of both the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777.
