Dubai airline Emirates has announced that it will again introduce the My Emirates Pass initiative, which will allow passengers to avail discounts in over 500 locations across the UAE.

The offer is open to passengers travelling to and through Dubai from January 1 until March 31, 2019, the airline said in a statement.

Those wishing to avail the offers will need to present their boarding pass and a valid form of identification.

Deals on offer include up to 30 per cent discount on spa treatments; up to 50 per cent off on outdoor activities such as water sports and access to night golf courses; up to 50 per cent discount on fine dining; and up to 30 per cent off at shopping outlet stores.

Among the participating outlets are most theme parks in the country including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Water World, IMG World of Adventures and Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Mohammad Al Hashimi, Emirates’ vice president, Commercial Products Dubai, said: “We are very pleased to announce the return of our signature Emirates Pass this winter, encouraging visitors to explore all corners of the UAE. Travellers coming into Dubai, whether for a short visit or a longer stay can now experience what this city has to offer for less, by taking advantage of special privileges across some of the best hotspots.”

Emirates flies to more than 150 destinations, in 85 countries via a stopover in Dubai.

Dubai is seeking to boost tourism as the emirate aims to become the most visited city in the world, targeting 25 million visitors annually by 2025.

The emirate welcomed 11.58 million tourists in the first three quarters of 2018, the same number seen to the end of September last year when arrivals surged 7.5 per cent.

However, the official tourism body indicated it expected further visitor growth thanks to a new policy exempting transit passengers from visa fees for 48 hours and other incentives.
