The airline will launch four-times weekly flights (on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) to Porto, Portugal’s second largest city from July 2. The route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER in a three class cabin configuration offering eight first class suites, 42 business class seats and 310 economy seats. Flight EK 197 will depart Dubai at 9.15am and arrive in Porto at 2.30pm local time, with return flight, EK 198, departing Porto at 5.35pm and arriving in Dubai at 4.15am the next morning. The airline is offering economy class fares starting from Dhs2,795 and business class fares starting from Dhs14,995 on bookings made from May 7-20 for travel until February 28, 2020, it revealed on Tuesday. Emirates Holidays is also offering a five-star holiday experience starting at Dhs5,799 per person, including airfare. Porto is the airline’s second destination in Portugal after the capital city of Lisbon. Located along the Douro River, the coastal city is famous for its rich cultural heritage, its historic centre – which is one of the oldest European centres – and its cuisine.
