Home World Asia-pacific Emirates’ Perth Flights Go Triple Daily Latest capacity increase means the airline’s services have grown more than five-fold since it first flew to Perth in 2002 by Dominic Ellis March 4, 2013 Emirates recently launched its third daily flight from Dubai to Perth, capitalising on growing two-way business and leisure traffic. The service provides another commercial filip for the airline ahead of the expected launch of its global partnership with Qantas in April. EK422 departs Dubai at 2145 and arrives in Perth at 1225 the following day, and the return flight, EK423, departs Perth at 1510 and arrives in Dubai at 2210. The third service provides an extra 1,440 seats between Dubai and the Western Australian city each week. Emirates will also increase the capacity on one of its other services to Perth (EK424 and EK425) to a Boeing B777-300ER from June 1. It means the airline’s services have grown more than five-fold since it first flew to Perth in 2002. Perth’s economic success has been built on its mining boom, although a shortage of hotels has pressurised rates. According to Deloitte Access Economics, prices are expected to rise 11 per cent in the coming year. 0 Comments
