On Friday, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that caps on international arrivals in NSW, Western Australia and Queensland will be reduced by 50 per cent until February 15. Also, travellers to Australia must present a negative Covid-19 test result prior to their departure to Australia. Emirates’ said that the schedule of their final few flights to the three Australian cities before the suspension comes into effect are as follows: Dubai-Melbourne EK408 on January 19 Melbourne–Dubai EK409 on January 20 Dubai-Sydney EK414 on January 18 Sydney–Dubai EK415 on January 19 Dubai-Brisbane EK430 on January 16 Brisbane–Dubai EK431 on January 17 The airline added that customers holding tickets with final destinations Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin after the completion of the above flights. Emirates has also suspended all flights between the UAE and South Africa from Saturday, January 16 to Thursday, January 28.
