Home GCC UAE Emirates to reopen 20 airport lounges across its network First and business class passengers, as well as platinum and gold skywards members to have access to more than 120 Emirates lounges by Divsha Bhat December 21, 2021 Emirates, which has resumed operations to over 90 per cent of its pre-pandemic network, plans to reopen 20 airport lounges by the end of February 2022, bringing its total number of operational lounges around the world to 120. In the UK, the airline plans to reopen its lounges at London Heathrow, Birmingham and Manchester by the end of this month, while lounges in London Gatwick and Glasgow will follow in January. In Europe, Emirates lounges in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Dusseldorf, as well as lounges in Milan and Rome, are already operational. The lounge in Paris is scheduled to open later this month. In the US, travellers on Emirates flights can access the lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, and New York JFK, with Emirates’ San Francisco lounge to restart its services in February 2022. An additional Emirates Lounge, to serve passengers travelling through Cairo, has resumed operations earlier. Lounges in Colombo and Bangkok will also reopen soon. At Terminal 3 – Dubai International airport, five dedicated lounges are now fully operational. In Concourse B of Terminal 3, both Emirates’ first class and business class lounges have reopened with full-service offerings. Emirates’ first class and business class lounges in Concourse A have also resumed operations in the East Wing. The lounges are set to reopen for customers in the coming weeks in the West Wing. Furthermore, plans are underway to ensure two lounges in Concourse C are fully operational by early next year. In addition to Emirates’ lounge experience in Dubai and select airports across its network, first and business class passengers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, can access 96 partner lounges across its network, with an additional 15 partner lounges to be coming soon. All Emirates lounges have resumed operations after stringent health and safety measures have been put in place to ensure the wellbeing of passengers.
