Empire Aviation adds first Boeing Business Jet to its charter fleet

Dubai-based Empire Aviation Group (EAG) has registered a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) under its management for commercial charter services.
The BBJ managed by Empire Aviation, is configured for 18 passengers and will operate with four crew members.

The BBJ enables EAG to fly up to 18 passengers for various types of operations, such as business, private charter, corporate and head-of-state missions. The BBJ is based on the Boeing 737-700 commercial aircraft and can fly up to 12 hours non-stop and cover distances of up to 6,200 nautical miles, depending on its passenger load.

Boeing Business Jet features

The BBJ is an ultra-large-cabin, long-range aircraft. The passenger cabin measures 79 feet long, seven feet high, and almost 12 feet wide with a custom interior design by Paris-based designer Alberto Pinto. The cabin houses a boardroom, lounge, VIP ensuite bedroom, business office and two restrooms, one with a with shower.

The aircraft is equipped with an inflight entertainment system, a fully equipped galley, Satcom and internet access, an onboard server and a second broadband system, and a multifunction office services station.

Paras P Dhamecha, founder and managing director of EAG, said, “The addition of a Boeing Business Jet adds a new dimension to our managed charter fleet with the aircraft’s unique scale and significance. We are very confident the BBJ will attract a lot of interest from the business, governmental and leisure charter customers from across the globe.”

In 2022, EAG signed an agreement with the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South to develop a new, multi-purpose business aviation facility on a plot adjacent to the VIP Terminal. The agreement includes a 100 per cent investment from EAG, with work starting in early 2023 and completion expected by the end of 2024.

Additionally, EAG has an agreement with CAE, a Canadian manufacturer of simulation technologies, to train its aviation staff throughout CAE’s network on business aircraft including the Bombardier Global 6000, Global 7500, Gulfstream G550, G650, Embraer Legacy 650 and the BBJ.

Since launching in Dubai in 2007, the aircraft firm has inducted more than 70 aircraft for management and lease purposes, it currently has 20 business jets under management, introduced deals such as ‘Luxury Partner Programme’ and has AOCs (Air Operator Certificates) or equivalent in three countries – the UAE, San Marino, and India (through an affiliate company). It offers aircraft management, aircraft sales, charter, and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) for private aircrafts.

The company operates in cities across the US, Europe, India, Africa and Indonesia, in addition to the Middle East.
