Etihad Airways is set to increase its services to Beirut and Amman from 18 flights per week to triple daily flights as of July this year.

The flights mean the addition of more than 800 seats a week between Abu Dhabi and the two Middle Eastern capitals and will be operated by an A320 aircraft fitted with 16 Business Class seats and 120 Economy Class seats.

The additions mean passengers will have greater flexibility when travelling between the major cities, while also improving connections between Abu Dhabi and key Asian destinations such as Manila, Sydney and Melbourne.

Jordanian travellers will also have greater connectivity to Asian destinations including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta and Sydney.

“The Middle East network has been performing strongly. This increase in our services is indicative of the huge confidence we have in this important regional market,” said James Hogan, president and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways.

“We have steadily increased frequencies on both routes in line with strong demand, not only to the capital of the UAE, but also via Abu Dhabi to and from key destinations in Asia and Australia,” added Hogan.
