Home GCC UAE Etihad Airways to restart flights between Abu Dhabi and Doha in February The service will operate daily using an Airbus A320 and a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner by Staff Writer January 20, 2021 Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways has confirmed that beginning February 15, 2021, it will restart passenger flights from the capital of the UAE to Doha, Qatar, subject to the applicable government approvals. The service will operate daily using an Airbus A320 and a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. On Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, EY 393 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 9am and land in Doha at 9.05am, whereas EY 394 will depart from Doha at 10.30am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 12.45pm. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, EY 395 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 8pm and land in Doha at 8.05pm, whereas EY 396 will depart from Doha at 9.25am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 11.40pm. On Sundays meanwhile, EY 397 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 1.30am and land in Doha at 1.35am, whereas EY 398 will depart from Doha at 3.15am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 5.30am. “With ties between the UAE and Qatar restored, the restarting of passenger services between the two capitals will once again support the growth of trade and tourism between the two nations,” said Martin Drew, senior vice president, Global Sales and Cargo, Etihad Aviation Group. “Adding a new destination to Etihad’s network during the Covid-19 pandemic is another step towards the gradual expansion of normal scheduled services to more cities across the airline’s global network.” Etihad is the only airline in the world requiring 100 per cent of its passengers to show a negative PCR test before departure, and on arrival in Abu Dhabi. It has also introduction free PCR testing for guests departing the UAE and free Covid-19 insurance for all passengers globally. Earlier this month, the Abu Dhabi added Qatar to its “green list” of countries from where incoming passengers do not require to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival in the emirate. There are 18 countries, regions and territories on that list as of January 20.
