A fire erupted at the Expo 2020 Dubai site on Monday, May 11, which was put out soon after by emergency services.
The fire broke out amid the construction debris of the site, Expo 2020 Dubai tweeted.
An Expo 2020 spokesperson said: “A medium-sized fire broke out earlier this morning, on the #Expo2020 site in construction debris. The fire was brought under control quickly by emergency services. it is now now out, and nobody was harmed”.

The fire was reportedly caused by a problem during welding works.
However, no injuries or casualties were reported according to the official statement.
The Expo 2020 Dubai event is now slated to begin on October 1, 2021 and run until March 31, 2022.
