Flydubai to resume flights to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport next month
With the resumption, the airline will increase its overall flight frequency to Istanbul to 12 per week
Dubai carrier flydubai will resume operations to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) from March 2.
The carrier will operate five flights a week, beginning next month.
With flydubai’s daily flights to Istanbul Airport, the carrier’s frequency to Istanbul overall will scale to 12 flights a week.
The airline’s network in Turkey also includes Ankara, where it operates two weekly flights, official news agency WAM reported.
Jeyhun Efendi, senior vice president, commercial operations and e-commerce at flydubai, said, “flydubai remains committed to making travel more accessible by providing more choice for our passengers. Istanbul remains a popular destination on our network and we welcome the resumption of our operations to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, an airport that provides another convenient option for those travelling to Istanbul.”

Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, offering options for passengers travelling to and from the city, a statement said.
Dubai carrier Emirates will codeshare on this route, offering travellers options for connections through Dubai to more than 190 destinations between both the Emirates and flydubai networks.
The airline announced this month that it will begin flights between Dubai and two destinations in Saudi Arabia – AlUla and Yanbu – over the coming weeks.
