Free parking in Dubai for Eid, RTA reveals public transport timings

Metro and bus timings have been extended for the Eid holidays next week

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that all paid parking zones will be free to use from Sunday June 2, until Friday, June 7 during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

They will resume charging fees from Saturday, June 8.

However, multi-level parking terminals will continue to charge fees during the Eid period, the RTA clarified.

The authority also confirmed that all the service provider centres (technical testing) will be closed during Eid Al Fitr holiday from Monday, June 3 until Friday June 7.

Shamil service centres (Al Aded, Qusais, Nad Al Hamar and Muhaisina) will be closed from Sunday, June 2 to Friday, June 7.

The RTA’s customers’ happiness centres will also be closed from Sunday to Saturday June 8, and resume duty on Sunday, June 9. The smart customers happiness centres at Umm Ramool and the RTA head office will be operating as usual 24/7.

Metro timings

Metro stations on the Red line will operate as follows: From Monday June 3 to Thursday June 6 – from 5am to 2am (of the following day).

On Friday, June 7 – from 10am to 2am (of the following day) and on Saturday, June 8 – from 5am to 2am (of the following day).

Metro Stations on the Green Line will operate as follows: From Monday June 3 to Thursday June 6 – from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day).

On Friday, June 7 – from 10am to 2am (of the following day) and on Saturday, June 8 – from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day).

Tram

Dubai Tram will run from Saturday to Thursday from 6am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 9am to 1am (of the following day).

Bus timings

The main bus stations, such as Gold Souq, will operate from 4.25am to 12.29 am (past midnight), while Al Ghubaiba station will be in service from 4.14am to 12.58am (past midnight).

Sub-stations, such as Satwa, will start from 4.57am to 11.03pm except for Route C01 operating around-the-clock.

Al Qusais station will run bus services from 4.34am to 12.08am (past midnight), Al Quoz Industrial station will be in operation from 5.05am to 11.35pm and Jebel Ali station will operate from 5am and until 11.22pm.

Metro feeder bus stations at Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be operational from 5am to 2.10am (of the following day). The timing of the feeder bus service will be synchronised with the timing of the metro timetables.

Inter-city bus stations and commercial coaches will operate as follows: Main stations, such as Al Ghubaiba, will operate around-the-clock to Sharjah (Jubail), and the Abu Dhabi service will run from 4.36am up to 12.01am (past midnight).

Substations, such as Union Square, will be in service from 4.30 am up to 1.25 am (of the following day).

Al Sabkha station will run from 6.13am until 1.30am (of the following day), and Deira City Centre station will operate from 5.35 am until 11.30pm. Karama station will run bus services from 7am until 10.23 pm and Al Ahli Club station will stay open from 5.55am to 10.15pm.

External stations, such as Sharjah’s Al Taawon, will run from 5.30am until 10pm, Fujairah station will operate from 5.23am until 9.39pm, Ajman station will stay open from 4.27am until 11pm and Hatta station will be in operation from 5.30am until 9.30pm.

Marine transport timings

The timings for marine transit services during the first three days of Eid Al-Fitr holiday will be as follows: The Water Bus will operate at Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) from 12pm (noon) up to 12am (midnight).

Dubai Ferry will call at Ghubaiba and Marina stations at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm. It will call at Jaddaf Water Canal at 8am, 11.50am and 3.40pm and 5.30pm.

At Dubai Marina station it will operate (round journey) at 5pm and 10pm.

During the first three days of Eid, abra timings will be as follows: The traditional abra will operate at Dubai Creek Stations (Dubai Old Souq to Baniyas), (Ghubaiba to Sabkha), (Sabkha to Fahidi), and (Baniyas to Seef) from 10am to 1am (of the following day).

At the Sheikh Zayed Road, abras will operate from 4pm to 11.30pm. The air-conditioned abra will visit Jaddaf and Dubai Festival City from 9am to 1am (of the following day).

The electric abra at Burj Khalifa will operate from 6pm to 11pm and at Marina, Seef, Dubai Festivity City, Baniyas, and Al Fahidi from 4pm to 11.30pm.
