Home UAE Dubai Free parking in Dubai for public holiday on Sunday The UAE has declared Sunday as a holiday to mark the Prophet’s birthday by Staff writer November 13, 2018 Public parking will be free across Dubai on Sunday, November 18 to mark the Prophet’s birthday, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced. However charges will continue to be levied in multilevel parking zones. Regular fees will be charged from Monday, November 19, the RTA said. The UAE has declared Sunday as a holiday for public and private sector companies in the country to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. The Dubai Metro’s red line stations will operate from 5am to 12am and the green line stations will stay open from 5.30am to 12am. Dubai Tram will be operational from 6am to 1am the following day. Bus timings have also been modified, with the Gold Souk station and the Al Ghubaiba station operating from 4.25am to 12.29am. While Al Satwa station will run from 5am to 11pm, Al Qusais station will operate from 5am to 11.45am, Al Quoz Industrial station will operate from 5am to 11.35pm and Jebel Ali from 5am to 11.30pm.
