A Free Fire tournament that pits MENA gamers against their international counterparts starts on November 21, with a total purse of $900,000.

Developer and publisher Garena is organising the Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) competition.

The MENA region is part of the EMEA Series featuring gamers from countries across the Middle East and North Africa as well as Europe and Russia. As well as the EMEA Series, concurrent competitions will be held in the Americas and Asia.

Each series will have a prize fund of $300,000, bringing the combined prize pool for the FFCS to $900,000. The format will see teams navigate two stages: the Play-ins which will take place either on November 21 while the Grand Finals will be held on November 28.

With all Series’ following the same format, the teams in the EMEA event will battle over six rounds, across three maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari. They will aim to win points based on round ranking and the number of kills.

The top-seeded teams from each local-level tournament will earn direct entry into each series’ respective grand finals. The rest of the teams will earn their place in the grand finals by beating other teams in the region. Fans can stream the games live.
