GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi reports 2,691 cases; UAE announces 941 infections
The death toll in Saudi Arabia and the UAE has risen to 339 and 233 respectively
UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced 941 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths on May 20.
The new cases were diagnosed as a result of 43,732 tests conducted to screen for the virus. The total number of cases has now risen to 26,004.
Meanwhile, the ministry has expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased. The death toll stands at 233.

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has reported 2,691 additional Covid-19 cases on May 20, spiking the total infection count to 62,545.
Riyadh reported 815 cases, followed by Jeddah (311) and Makkah (306).
The ministry also confirmed 10 additional deaths, bringing the death toll to 339.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health announced 804 additional infections and three deaths, Kuwait News Agency reported.
The Covid-19-related death toll has now risen to 124 while total number of infections has grown to 17,568.
Oman
The Ministry of Health in Oman reported 372 additional Covid-19 cases on May 20, increasing the infection count to 6,043.
It has also reported an additional death, that of a 70-year-old Omani national, raising the death toll to 28.

Bahrain
As of May 20, 2.30pm local time, Bahrain has a total of 4,497 active Covid-19 cases, of whom nine are in a critical condition.
Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health reported 1,491 positive Covid-19 cases and one death in the last 24 hours.
The death toll in the country now tallies 16.
