Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 1,538 cases; 451 infections confirmed in Oman The death toll in the UAE has risen to 472 by Zainab Mansoor October 21, 2020 UAE The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed 1,538 new Covid-19 infections, its highest daily rise in new cases, since the virus broke out across the country earlier this year. A similar number of cases were recorded on October 17. The health ministry also confirmed 1,501 additional recoveries and two fatalities. In the past 24 hours, 418 recoveries were also reported. The infections have now risen to 111,484 including 87,367 recoveries and 1,137 deaths, Times of Oman reported. Bahrain The kingdom recorded 217 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection, as a result of 10,360 tests carried out on October 20, 2020.
