Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 563 cases; Saudi registers 1,644 cases, 16 deaths The death toll in the UAE and Kuwait has risen to 258 and 185 respectively by Zainab Mansoor May 28, 2020 United Arab Emirates The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE has reported 563 new cases of the Covid-19 infection on May 28, as a result of over 38,000 screenings. The number of cases registered in the country has now risen to 32,532. The ministry also confirmed the death of three individuals, who were Covid-19 patients and died due to complications. The death toll has now reached 258. With 314 additional recoveries, the number of patients who have recovered until now total 16,685. Saudi Arabia The Ministry of Health announced 1,644 new Covid-19 cases and 16 deaths across the country. The city of Riyadh posted 611 new cases, followed by Jeddah (360) and Makkah (148).
