Meanwhile, six individuals of different nationalities have died due to complications associated with the Covid-19 infection, spiking the death toll to 220. The ministry also announced 581 additional recoveries, raising the number of cured patients to 8,512. Saudi Arabia The Ministry of Health announced 2,736 Covid-19 cases across the country, raising the total number of infections to 54,752. The city of Makkah reported 557 cases, followed by Riyadh (488) and Madinah (392). The ministry also reported 10 additional deaths. A total of 12 people have so far succumbed to the virus. Kuwait On May 17, the Ministry of Health announced a total of 4,093 recoveries, Kuwait News Agency reported. Qatar The Ministry of Public Health in Qatar announced a total of 1,632 positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
