Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the heads of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as well as Central Asian countries, informally known as C5, for the 18th consultative meeting of the GCC leaders.
The summit is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
UAE at GCC summit
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, led the UAE delegation to the summit, as per state news agency WAM.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said, “We look forward to working together to open new horizons to take advantage of the available opportunities for joint cooperation in all fields.”
He also spoke of continuing to build on the grouping’s strong economic and political relationship. “Our summit today is but an extension of these ties to establish a promising start based on our historical heritage, capabilities, human resources, and economic growth that contributed to the gross product of our countries reaching nearly $2.3 trillion.”
