Also, this year, Japan and France, in particular, have expanded their pavilions to include 50 significant startup businesses. Some of the key startups from India, Japan and France are – India Fedo.ai – Fedo uses AI to predict the future health risks and the associated medical costs using demographic, lifestyle and chronic information. This is presented as Fedo Score, a holistic indicator of the future health risks of an individual. Medical professionals built the Fedo score and data scientists using over 250 medical studies and more than 5000 quality controlled and academic and research documents from worldwide and analysing over 100 million global health records and 1.5 million claims data. EyeROV – It is a marine robotics company providing products and solutions in the field of the underwater domain. The company has built a highly portable and customisable Underwater Inspection Class Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) / Underwater Drone, which can perform underwater inspections of infrastructures more safely and efficiently. EyeROV TUNA ROV also can attach multiple payloads like SONAR’s, Gripper Arms and various other NDT payloads. In addition, it also provides a data analytics and visualisation platform to visualise the data collected by the ROV. Japan Quantum – The world’s first non-invasive blood glucose measurement sensor under research utilises Quantum’s technology to eliminate the need for invasive blood glucose measurement. With its wearable devices and total solutions, it aims to develop new functions, like non-invasive blood glucose detection. SkyDrive – SkyDrive is a Japanese eVTOL and cargo drone developer that conducted its first human test flight in 2020, just two years after its founding. The company intends to start its mobility service during the 2025 Osaka World Expo, ferrying people around by air without the requirement for large-scale takeoff and landing infrastructure. Fukuzawa, a former Toyota Motor engineer, co-founded the firm in 2018. Its most recent prototype is a propeller-driven vehicle powered by electricity. It features a single seat and is almost double the size of a conventional car. By combining its disposable paper fuel cells and reusable electronic platform, its solution not only offers a replacement in existing low-power applications but also creates new opportunities for innovative solutions in wearable health monitoring, single-use medical diagnostics, logistics and IoT. MACA – A French startup based in Southeast France, MACA develops Carcopter, a hydrogen-powered flying Formula-1 designed for spectacular races.
