Home GCC UAE Guyana eases visa restrictions for UAE passport holders The UAE passport has visa-free access to a growing number of countries by Staff Writer May 28, 2018 UAE citizens are now able to visit the South American country of Guyana without obtaining a visa in advance. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the change applied to holders of diplomatic, private and regulator passports, who will be granted a visa on arrival at airports. The move is intended to boost bilateral ties, trade and tourism between the two countries. Guyana is located on the northeast coast of South America and borders Venezuela in the west, Suriname in the east and Brazil to the south. The agreement follows similar deals announced this year with countries including Tonga, China, Ireland, Paraguay and Guinea.
