Here’s why the ASUS BR1100 is a credible proposition for students

Design

The cover of ASUS BR1100 is made of polycarbonate material and has a 3D textured, rugged design. The device is tested to comply with military-grade durability requirements to withstand the rigour of daily life at home and in classrooms. In addition, a rubber safety grip on the device’s base offers firm support for the laptop and makes it simpler to grab when carrying, decreasing the danger of slips. Furthermore, it includes an optional active stylus accessory that allows students to sketch or take notes with ease.

Another interesting feature is the modular design, which allows the laptop to be easily upgraded. In addition, an anti-falling screw design keeps screws from falling from the D part during upgrades or repairs.

The keyboard, touchpad, and palm rest are protected with ASUS BacGuard antibacterial treatment for improved device hygiene.

Display

The 11.6-inch HD touchscreen device with 1366 x 768 resolution weighs approximately 1.4kg. The display of BR1100 features low blue light mode and anti-flicker technology and has passed TÜV Rheinland Eye Care certification. These features make the device a favoured choice for students due to its extra eye care benefit. The top cover of the laptop incorporates a bright LED indication which allows teachers to detect if a specific student’s laptop is experiencing connectivity or power issues, alerting instructors when a student may require assistance.

Connectivity

ASUS BR1100 delivers an HD camera with webcam shield design and incorporates 3D noise reduction technology and AI noise-cancelling and also supports optional 4G LTE connectivity to increase video picture quality and filter background noise to give students a better remote video conference experience.

The device is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector, which supports high-speed data transfers and USB power delivery and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, HDMI, a microSD card reader, and an Ethernet port for wired networking.

Performance

Powering the ASUS BR1100 is an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, Intel UHD graphics, 4GB DDR4 RAM, and 128GB eMMC.

Under the improved battery mode, the 42-watt-hour battery may provide up to 10 hours of continuous use. Furthermore, it includes a 45W AC adapter that will provide a full charge in less than two hours.

This convertible laptop includes a 720p HD camera, a privacy shutter (above the screen), and a 13MP front-facing camera (located just above the keyboard).

The front-facing 720p HD camera offers a pro mode with enhanced picture and video capabilities.
