The property has been added to Hilton’s LXR Hotels and Resorts luxury brand portfolio. Located in the heart of Doha, it is situated on C-ring road, and is also a ten-minute drive from Hamad International airport. The hotel has 290 rooms and suites whose design is based on a classic Parisian concept. The hotel has a range of culinary options including an American bakery, a juice bar and The Courtyard restaurant. Several additional outlets are set to open, as will a spa and wellness concept. The Plaza Doha also positions itself as a hotel to host gatherings. It has an entire floor dedicated solely to a ballroom, meeting rooms and two boardrooms. The main highlight is The Grand Ballroom which features a high ceiling, chandeliers, and a private connection to a Bridal Suite. With carefully curated masterpieces and custom-made chandeliers, it offers an exceptional experience where every detail has been meticulously designed to transport guests to a world of opulence.” Sultan Ali AlKhayarin, group CEO at Samrya Hospitality, added, “This partnership with Hilton marks a defining moment for Samrya Hospitality, as we step into a new era of luxury hospitality in Doha, Qatar coinciding with the continuous preferences of guests and luxury aficionados who seek exquisite and distinctive cultural experiences.” Qatar tourism on the rise In July, Qatar Tourism revealed that the country welcomed more than two million international visitors this year, with the months of May and June registering the highest figure (567,000) ever recorded for those two months in the last ten years. International arrivals in 2023, it added, also doubled compared to 2019 levels. Visitors from Saudi Arabia remained the top source market for international visitors this year, contributing to nearly a quarter of all arrivals, followed by those from India and Germany.
