The signing took place in the presence of Walid Nassar, the Minister of Tourism for Lebanon. The voco Beirut Central District is a conversion property that will be rebranded by the end of this year. It will add 123 rooms to IHG’s portfolio in Lebanon, and marks the brand’s debut in the Levant region. The hotel is located in a prime location in Beirut, close to popular attractions such as Zaituna Bay, Beirut Waterfront and Beirut Souks. It will feature an outdoor pool, a spa, a gym, a business centre, a theater area, four meeting rooms and three dining options. Guests will also be able to enjoy the benefits of IHG’s enterprise platform, relaunched app and transformed loyalty programme, IHG One Rewards. “Having opened our first hotel in the Middle East – InterContinental Phoenicia in Lebanon decades ago, we are proud to continue to strengthen our footprint in the country and bring new brands to the market which continues to attract travellers with its blend of cultural, historic and cosmopolitan, said Haitham Mattar, managing director – India, Middle East and Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “We look forward to delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests in Beirut.” “This signing is also in line with our ambition to strengthen our offering across key markets in the Middle East and cater to various guest segments with world class hospitality options,” he added.
