Jet Rotana To Operate Thrice Weekly Flights from Abu Dhabi To Dubai

UAE-based domestic airline Jet Rotana has announced that it will begin services from Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen airport to Dubai’s Terminal 2 from August 1.

Two-way tickets will be priced at Dhs150, official news agency WAM reported.

The flights will operate thrice a week and will fly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays between the emirates. The flight service will begin from Al Bateen airport at 9.25 am and will arrive in Dubai at 9.45 am. The return flight from Dubai will depart at 4.15 pm and reach Abu Dhabi by 4.45 pm.

The carrier will also operate flights between Sir Bani Yas Island and Dubai, with round trip fares set at Dhs200.

“Demand for connecting cities within the UAE has steadily grown, and customers have been requesting a direct connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and between Dubai and Sir Bani Yas Island for some time now,” said Rajendran Vellapalath, Rotana Jet’s Commercial and Planning director.

“We are glad to be the first to facilitate this connectivity, which we believe will create a wide range of new options for the UAE’s tourism and business sectors.”

The Sir Bani Yas Island – Dubai route will also be serviced on the same days as the Abu Dhabi-Dubai service. The flight bound for Sir Bani Yas will start at 12.20 pm from Dubai and reach the island by 1.20 pm. The return flight will depart from Sir Bani Yas at 3.00 pm and arrive in Dubai in 50 minutes.

Jet Rotana, established in 2010, is the UAE’s first domestic airline and has inter-emirate services to Sir Bani Yas island, Delma island, Fujairah and Al Ain. The airline is also planning to begin services to Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah.
