Home UAE Dubai Jumeirah’s new Al Naseem hotel to open by year-end The 430-key Jumeirah Al Naseem forms the fourth phase of Madinat Jumeirah by Dominic Ellis May 9, 2016 It’s not only upscale leisure visitors which Jumeirah hopes to entice to the 430-key Jumeirah Al Naseem, the fourth phase of Madinat Jumeirah which aims to open by the year end. Proximity to the resort’s conference centre, along with businesses in the ’new Dubai’ district, presents executives with a different hospitality option to the corporate hotels. “I see conference delegates wanting to stay,” said general manager Richard Alexander. “You might want to put on a jacket to the seminar, but you can shed it when you’re back and put your shorts on and enjoy the resort. The modern day businessman doesn’t want pomp and formality.” Spacious rooms ranging from 58sqm (standard) to 69sqm (superior), and 14 restaurants and bars, will provide unwinding corporates with the chance to mix business and leisure. Superior rooms will have a novel ‘enclosed balcony’ feature (Pearl room pictured above). “It’s not going to be your traditional Dubai luxury resort with a date palm every 10 paces,” said Alexander, who worked at Burj Al Arab in 2001 and had a previous tenure at Madinat Jumeirah in 2004. “The gardens will be jungle-like and spontaneous and the beach area will have a sand dune effect, with mounds of landscaping and hammocks.” The core, comprising the entrance and lobby, designed to maximise views of Burj Al Arab, will be delivered towards the tail-end of the project. For now, work continues on back-of-house facilities and landscaping, and around 320 rooms have been completed. The seventh floor Royal Suite will span 500sqm and there are two Presidential Suites (one fifth, one sixth floor) which are also two-bedrooms but 350sqm, on either end of the wings. “It naturally takes time to ramp up but we will run good occupancies within the first 30-45 days. Our rate will be appropriately pitched to other properties in the resort.” 0 Comments
