The 370-room hotel marks the company’s eighth signed property in Saudi Arabia and follows recent agreements for JW Marriott hotels in Doha and Casablanca. Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director of Marriott International, Middle East and Africa, said the region’s hospitality industry “continues to go from strength to strength”. The company plans to hire over 12,000 staff during the next five years. Kyriakidis said it will place a particular focus on its flagship Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand. “We are designing hotels for a new generation of business travellers who blend work and play, demand style and substance, and desire the best in innovative technology,” he said. But the company also plans to open 10 extended stay hotels, with Residence Inn Jazan Saudi Arabia and Marriott Executive Apartments Zabeel Dubai slated to open later this year. 0 Comments
