Home Industry Technology Kanousei Technology launches Odyssey in MENA region Kanousei Technology’s goal is to get 1,000 companies into the metaverse through Odyssey by Zubina Ahmed August 12, 2022 Dubai-based experiential tech agency Kanousei Technology, has recently launched ‘Odyssey’ in the MENA region. Odyssey is a Web3 platform that will allow companies to get into the metaverse in an easier and smarter way. The company’s goal is to get 1,000 companies into the metaverse through this platform. The platform enables brands to re-envision their customer engagement and digital strategies. It also encompasses next generation social interactions such as spatial audio and video. Brands can personalise the interiors, configure their store and gamify experiences to support awareness campaigns, digital merchandising, product launch events, NFT drops or re-imagine discounts and giveaways. Harold Dickenson Jr, founder and EXR director of Kanousei Technology said, “In addition, the platform will also supports business-to-business initiatives. Companies can create corporate meeting rooms where employees from all around the world can meet for presentations, socialise or for team buildings and training purposes.” He added that “the product is delivered through cloud-based pixel streaming, with no need to download and install any programmes. Integrated with the ‘Ready Player Me’ protocol, users create and customise their avatar with over 1,000 different options, and even have the ability to upload an image and have the system create their digital twin. Once inside, they have total freedom to explore, interact and join different conversations”. The launch of Odyssey is in line with Dubai’s Metaverse vision. On July 18, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council announced the launch of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy. The strategy aims to contribute Dhs4bn to the national economy over five years, along with supporting 40,000 virtual jobs.
