The DGCA has scheduled five flights a day depending on the seat capacity agreed upon by the two countries and the cabinet’s recent decision to increase the airport’s capacity, Aviation Control director Raed Al-Taher said. Last month, the cabinet announced that commercial flights would resume with six countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The decision comes following a decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases in Kuwait. The country’s Health Ministry reported 71 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the total number of infections reported in the country to 410,413. It also recorded one death, with the death toll now at 2,425. The ministry also announced that 179 patients recovered from the virus, increasing the total number of recoveries to 406,137.
