Addressing the press at the vaccination centre in Kuwait International Fairs Ground, the Prime Minister asserted that the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine was ‘safe to use’, having been approved by multiple international authorities, Kuwait News Agency reported. The vaccination campaign would continue across Kuwait for several months, while globally, it has been administered to around 2.1 million people to curb the spread of the contagion, he added. The Prime Minister called on people to continue practicing social distancing, wear masks and wash hands to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Kuwait embarked on a vaccination campaign, beginning today, December 24. The country’s health minister Sheikh Dr.Basel Al-Sabah confirmed that the vaccines would arrive on a monthly basis in Kuwait for a period of one year.
