Home UAE Dubai Le Royal Méridien Dubai Undertakes Dhs55m Refurb New decor, modern technology and two fresh F&B concepts among the changes at established beachfront hotel. by Dominic Ellis February 6, 2014 One of Dubai’s original and best-known beachfront properties, Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa, is in the throes of an Dhs55 million refurbishment in a bid to appeal to “a new generation of luxury travellers”. The first phase comprises the re-development of 108 rooms in Tower One and refurbishment of the public areas, and will see two new international branded F&B concepts, Geales – London’s finest seafood restaurant and lounge by Concept Venues, closely followed by Zengo – an eclectic concept by celebrity Chef Richard Sandoval, serving Pan-Oriental fare. A selection of the new-look rooms, among the first new Le Méridien concept resort rooms globally, is now available for bookings, and comes with 24-hour butler service and fresh décor and amenities. Decorated in contemporary pastels and complimented by light solid wood furniture, the new rooms feature a Le Méridien Discovery Wall that takes inspiration from sea urchins and aim to provide a tranquil and sophisticated atmosphere. Walls are adorned with handcrafted art influenced by coffee beans and natural materials and each room features signature beds, walk-in showers, bathtubs and Cinqmondes bathroom amenities. Upgraded technology touches include two LED TVs, a DVD/CD player and iPod dock, as well as free high-speed internet. A private entrance, lobby, reception and guest services desk augment the luxury feel. 0 Comments
