Alghanim is credited for transforming the group from a family to a privately-owned business with a global workforce of more than 14,000 and operations that cover the Middle East, India and Asia across automobiles, retail and construction. During an interview in August 2022, he said he was considering listing a minority stake in the company on the local exchange.
Alghanim is one of the biggest sponsors of several education-focused initiatives in Kuwait. Under his guidance, the group has maintained a close connection with the youth in Kuwait. The company sponsored the 10th biannual Takween Charity Reading Marathon in December 2022.
