Lootah hit the ground running and under his leadership, the Dubai Chambers has launched 29 new business groups, bringing the current total to 105, covering various areas of the city’s economy. The chamber also expanded its bilateral relationships by opening new offices in Hong Kong, Turkiye, Egypt and Israel. Lootah is spearheading the growth of Dubai’s startup ecosystem with more than $2bn in funding raised by the end of October 2022. In support of D33, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three units operating under Dubai Chambers, projected in January that the city’s digital economy will grow to more than $140bn in 2031 from $38bn currently.
