The airline which was founded in 2019 has a fleet strength of the four Boeing 737-800 aircraft. It will operate twice weekly non-stop flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The flight departs from Kyiv at 8am and reaches Sharjah Airport at 3pm. The flight departs from Sharjah at 3pm and reaches the Ukrainian capital at 7.45pm. The inaugural flights from Ukraine to Sharjah was undertaken on Wednesday, October 20, and was greeted by a water salute upon arrival at the Sharjah Airport runway. “We welcome Bees Airlines to Sharjah Airport and appreciate their choice in selecting Sharjah as a base and destination to add more traveling options for travellers between the two destinations. With our airport’s continuous efforts in infrastructure development, Sharjah Airport is now considered one of the major hubs within the global travel and tourism map,” said Ali Salim Al Midfa, chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority. Another low-cost airline, FlyArystan, also began flights to Sharjah earlier this year. The Almaty-Sharjah-Almaty flights will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Sundays. The Sharjah Airport Authority added on Monday that aircraft movement (regular and irregular) recorded more than 33,200 flights.
