The foreign national fell from the roof to the ground floor of the circumambulation nave, resulting in his immediate death, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a spokesperson from the Makkah police as saying. The incident happened at 9.20pm on Friday and the body was rushed to a hospital. An investigation is currently underway to identify the man and ascertain the reasons behind his behaviour, the report said.
