Home Industry Finance Mashreq NEO to enable Indian expats to open an NR account via its app The digital bank has tied up with Federal Bank, a commercial bank in India, to enable its Indian customers to open a non-resident account with the latter by Gulf Business April 11, 2022 Mashreq NEO, the full-service digital bank that comes under the umbrella of Mashreq Bank, has tied up with Federal Bank, an Indian commercial bank, to enable Mashreq Neo’s Indian customers to open a non-resident (NR) account with the Indian bank, instantly via the Neo app. The new initiative aims to leverage the open banking construct to simplify the customer onboarding journey and deliver real-time account opening experience for customers. In addition to seamless account opening, customers will soon be able to view the balance in their NR accounts with Federal Bank on the Mashreq Neo App and make instant remittances to India via its ‘Quick Remit’ facility.
