Wale is a 35-year Starwood veteran who most recently served as senior vice president and director of Operations for Western Europe, while Vos will transition into a consulting role with the company. Frits van Paasschen, president and CEO of Starwood, said during Vos’ 12-year tenure it has nearly doubled its hotel footprint in the region to 243 hotels, and accelerated its business in fast-growing markets.
