Emaar and Meraas’ mid-scale joint venture Rove Hotels has announced its first third party UAE management contract for a property in Dubai’s Mina Seyahi area.

Rove Mina Seyahi, developed by Mada’in Properties, will feature 270 hotel rooms and 443 serviced residences spread across a 50-storey tower adjacent to Al Sufouh Road.

Facilities will include a swimming pool, gym, meeting rooms, children’s play area and an all-day restaurant on top of Rove’s usual self-service laundromat, convenience store, luggage storage area and parking.

Guests will also be offered late 2:00pm checkout, WiFi and other smart services.

Mada’in chairman Abdulaziz Al Awar said the project was the company’s first mixed-use hospitality development in the UAE.

“With the strong focus of the Dubai Marina district and the surrounding areas on luxury hotel projects, the contemporary mid-scale value proposition of Rove Hotels will make Rove Mina Seyahi stand-out and appealing to the new generation of travellers, entrepreneurs and investors,” he said.

“We will roll out the launch of Rove Residences Mina Seyahi shortly, enabling customers to own a signature Rove Residence in one of the region’s most sought-after waterfront developments, the Dubai Marina.”

The hotel is expected to be operational by 2021.

Mada’in previously delivered the Marina Arcade building located in the same area and is working on a residential community in Dubai South and a retail centre in Dubai Marina.

Emaar Hospitality CEO Olivier Harnisch said the company would continue to pursue similar management deals in the wider region.

Rove has four hotels operational in Dubai following the opening of a property at World Trade Centre last June.
