The motorist was speeding on Sheikh Zayed road during the weekend. Legal action was sought against the driver, while his vehicle was confiscated. “We are currently reviewing the speeds on roads within the city, and are studying the overall traffic movement in the city as urban development continues and the number of residents continue to rise,” said Ahmad Sum Al Naqbi, director traffic and patrols department, Ras Al Khaimah police. A total of 448,500 speeding offences were reportedly recorded by radars on Ras Al Khaimah roads since the beginning of 2016 till October 28 this year, according to police officials.
