Home UAE Dubai New Meyan Mall near Burj Al Arab in Dubai to open in April 2022 The mall consists of a ground level, two floors above it and two levels of basement parking by Gulf Business March 16, 2021 The construction on the Meyan Mall, located close to the Burj Al Arab, is now complete. However, Al-Waleed Real Estate, the real estate investment arm of Al-Waleed Investment Group, said on Monday that the mall will only open to visitors in April next year. It consists of a ground level, two floors above it and two levels of basement parking underneath it that can accommodate 70 cars. Located within Jumeriah, on Al Thanyah Street between Jumeirah Street and Al Wasl Street, the Meyan Mall will house 44 stores. According to a statement issued by the developers, the units have been handed over to tenants who represent a diverse line of local and international brands. These tenants have already begun the interior design work within their respective units. “The UAE continues to succeed, achieve more and deliver iconic projects despite the current global challenges,” said CEO of Al Waleed Investment Group, Mohammed Abdul Razzaq Al-Mutawa. In related developments, one of the largest mall operators in Dubai, Emaar Malls, listed on the Dubai Financial Market, recently revealed plans to merge with Emaar Properties. As part of the transaction, the existing business of Emaar Malls will be reconstituted in a wholly owned subsidiary of Emaar Properties and will continue to develop and hold a portfolio of premium shopping malls and retail assets.
