Home Industry Transport New salik toll gate begins operations in Dubai The gate is located near the Energy metro station in Jebel Ali by Staff writer October 23, 2018 A new toll (salik) gate on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai will start charging motorists from Wednesday, October 24, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has said. The gate, located near the Energy metro station in Jebel Ali, will charge the standard toll of Dhs4. It is the seventh salik gate to be erected in Dubai. The RTA announced earlier this year that it would come online after construction work on the bridges and flyovers at the seventh interchange of Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Yalayes Street Road leading to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road had been completed. The new gate is expected to encourage traffic too and from Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali and Dubai Investment Park to divert to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road.
