The attraction, which made its debut on October 22, successfully broke a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest fountain with water shooting up 105 metres above 3,000 LED lights. The only multi-colored fountain in the city, it spans across 14,000 square feet of seawater. Restaurants at The Pointe are also offering special New Year’s Eve packages with fountain views. Meanwhile Palm developer Nakheel has also issued travel advice for those with plans to visit the Palm Jumeirah this weekend to help ease traffic. While the Pointe will not be having a fireworks show to ring in 2021, other activities – including a fireworks show at the Atlantis – are expected to draw in crowds.
