With 20 years of experience as a software engineer and manager, Alexander’s main focus up until now has been on systems for financial services, e-commerce and affiliate marketing.

In his new role as CTO, Alexander will help to develop NorthLadder’s strategy for technological resources. He will verify that technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely, while also ensuring users can both navigate and operate the platform with ease.

Mihin Shah, the chief revenue officer at NorthLadder recognises Alexander as a valuable addition to the team, commenting: “With such extensive global experience, Alexander is well placed to assist NorthLadder in building a world class global platform”.

In regards to his new role at NorthLadder, Alexander states: “I am excited to begin working with such a diverse and knowledgeable team, and to aid in continuing the success of NorthLadder. My goal is to make processes predictable and transparent, with consistently high quality and user satisfaction.”

NorthLadder now has more than 150 dealers across the UAE who participate in the auction-buying process. The company has trade-in partnerships with the leading retailers in UAE and has a presence in over 100 stores.

CEO and co-founder, Sandeep Shetty said: “Appointing Alexander as chief technology officer cements the next step in NorthLadder’s expansion. His prior experience will offer a new perspective, helping to introduce innovative solutions to further improve company-wide processes and methodologies.”

Last month, NorthLadder announced partnerships with key retailers such as Carrefour stores and Lulu hypermarkets, as well as Samsung Brand Shops operated by Jacky’s retail and Harman House to support the growing number of people trading in their electronics.
