Ocean View Hotel Opening December 22

JA Resorts & Hotels’ Ocean View Hotel – set to be Dubai’s first four-star beach hotel – will open December 22.

Located along The Walk, the bustling promenade next to Jumeirah Beach Residence in ‘New Dubai’, and not far from Palm Jumeirah, the 341-room property will contain five restaurants and bars along with an Executive Lounge for guests staying in club rooms and suites.

Despite its beach location, the hotel has business travellers in its sights with a fully equipped conference centre and six meetings rooms, many of which will feature natural daylight and shaded balconies for breaks. Other facilities include a pool with seaviews, spa and health club.

Regional General Manager David Thomson acknowledged positioning the property will be crucial in the city’s increasingly congested hotel market, but maintained it is filling “a very important gap”.

“The four-star classification, prime beachfront location and relaxed environment will appeal to a vast cross-section of travellers,” he said.

Alongside its five-star beach resort in Jebel Ali, the company previously managed the four-star Oasis Beach Hotel in Dubai.
